About Our Founder

Dr. Khosrow Daneshbod was born in Tehran in 1933. He graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and holds board certification in Pediatrics and Pathology from Harvard University, USA. After completing a successful Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the University of Texas, he started teaching at Shiraz University in 1966. He is also a member of the College of American Pathologists.

Some of Dr. Daneshbod’s executive positions during his career:

-Head of Pathology Department at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.

-Member of Iranian Board of Pathology.

-Founding the Shiraz Molecular Pathology Research, led by his son, Dr. Yahya Daneshbod.

-Author of the book “Instructions and Guidelines of Histopathology”.

-Publishing over 45 articles in international journals.

He started his own Pathobiology and Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory in Shiraz in 1986 in addition to his work as a professor at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.
